LE Training: Sexual Harassment and the workplace.

Join ICAP and our guest speaker, Kevin Techau, as we discuss workplace harassment issues. Sexual harassment in the government workplace is illegal sex discrimination that is prohibited under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and is addressed by agencies like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). It includes unwelcome sexual advances and verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that can create a hostile or intimidating work environment. Employees who experience or witness sexual harassment can file a formal complaint with the EEOC or a state/local human rights commission, and there are specific time limits for filing these charges.

This session will cover legal aspects, and prevention strategies, regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
